Lionsgate Films
Lionsgate Films is a Canadian-American film production/distribution film production/distribution studio and is split between Lions Gate Entertainment. It is the largest and most successful mini-major film studio in North America. It was founded on January 12, 1998 in Vancouver, British Columbia as Lions Gate Films by Frank Giustra. Some of the successful films that Lionsgate have made are the Hunger Games, Saw, The Day After Tomorrow. The Lionsgate film The Hunger Games grossed $68.3 million when it premiered at the U.S. box office on March 23, 2012.The Hunger Games grossed $152.5 million, making it Lionsgate's highest grossing film after just three days.
